The fine print, in plain English.

This policy describes how Citrate handles information submitted through the public website and through its commercial engagements. It is aligned with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and FERPA where applicable.

Information we collect

We collect what you submit through the forms on this site: your name, role, organization, email, and the content of your message. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not set persistent cookies for identification.

How we use it

Only for the inquiry you submitted. We do not sell your information. We do not share it outside Citrate's internal review and the counsel and contractors required to support our work, all of whom are subject to confidentiality obligations.

How we store it

Submissions are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM envelope encryption. The database (Neon Postgres) is additionally encrypted at rest at the storage layer, and connections require TLS in transit. Identifying fields (name, email, company, role, message) are stored only as ciphertext. We keep a salted HMAC fingerprint of the email solely to detect duplicate submissions.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your information at any time by writing to hello@citrate.ai. Where applicable, we honor CCPA and GDPR data subject requests within the required statutory windows.

Children

This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our host-compute program for K-12 facilities is architected so that no student data touches the network.

These terms govern your use of the Citrate public website. Use of the network, products, and any commercial engagement is governed by a separate master services agreement.

Acceptable use

Use this site for lawful, informational purposes. Do not attempt to circumvent security controls or to scrape content at scale without written permission.

Automated agents

Read access for indexing and research agents is welcome. Submitting forms with automated agents is not. The forms on this site are intended for human inquiries. Programmatic submissions are rejected at the application layer.

Forward-looking statements

This site contains statements about products, certifications, and capabilities in active development. These are forward-looking and subject to change. Where a capability is not yet shipped or certified, the page in question says so plainly.

No investment offer

Nothing on this site constitutes an offer of, or solicitation to buy, any security or token. Citrate has not conducted, and does not intend to conduct, a public token offering. Our commercial model is denominated in dollars on standard contract vehicles.

Membership and fees

Membership is offered as a single one-year term for $48, billed in United States dollars. This is the only membership term offered; there is no monthly or multi-year option. A membership begins when it is activated in the app and runs for one year. Continuing membership requires a new one-year term; where a membership is set to renew, you may cancel future renewals at any time from your account. Access to member features ends when the term ends, or when a membership is canceled, refunded, or terminated for breach of these terms.

The SALT stake, and how refunds work

A membership stakes a SALT grant on the member’s behalf to help secure the network. You do not buy SALT, and SALT is not a product sold to you. SALT has no cash value until mainnet, and during testnet balances may be reset. The staked grant is a network security mechanism, not a purchased, redeemable, or withdrawable asset, and it is subject to the network’s staking, locking, and slashing rules.

If a membership fee is refunded, if a membership is canceled, or if it otherwise ends, member access ends and the associated SALT grant is reclaimed by the network. A fee refund does not return, unlock, transfer, vest, or create any claim to the staked SALT, and it does not entitle you to withdraw, sell, or otherwise control that grant. The grant never becomes your property by virtue of paying, or being refunded, the membership fee. This is a deliberate security design: no one can obtain a funded network stake by paying the fee and later reclaiming it. Fee refunds, where offered, are governed by our refund policy; in every case, a fee refund does not unlock or return the staked grant.

Memberships and their associated grants are non-transferable, except through the gifting mechanism defined in the app, where a sponsor stakes another person’s seat. Citrate may unwind, reclaim, or slash a grant in accordance with the network’s published rules.

The patent estate associated with the Citrate network is held by Citrate. Specific filings cover consensus innovations, the AI-native execution surface, verifiable compute primitives, and embedded-node architecture.

Defensive posture

Our patent posture is defensive. We do not assert patents against good-faith users, independent researchers, or interoperability work. We reserve the right to assert against parties who first assert against us.
